Summer Programs & Resources

The majority of colleges and universities offer youth programming during the summer months, internships opportunities for high school students (paid & unpaid) along with other informative resources that will benefit students as they set to transition after graduation.

The Georgia Ready Summer Institute is a one-week, cohort-based residential program for high-achieving, underrepresented and underserved high school students throughout Georgia who are going into their senior year (Class 2025), with a focus on research and innovation for this year’s theme.

During their experience, selected GRSI Scholars will begin exploring topics such as their desired research interests, connections between their interests and career pathways, as well as the impact research and innovation have upon entrepreneurial and commercialization endeavors across the state.

Additional activities will provide the pre-collegiate scholars with a greater understanding of themselves, fostering an in-depth appreciation of their interests and how they align with individuals working in a variety of professions. Most importantly, selected GRSI Scholars will gain a glimpse of what life as a UGA scholar is like, living in a campus residence hall, eating at our award-winning dining facilities, in addition to touring the Athens campus and various facilities.
